Guidelines:
The guidelines here, though common in nearly every Wikidot and creative writing area, are absolute. For the first offense, the offending log will be taken down, for repeated offenses, it may escalate to possible bans or suspension. This list includes:
- Respect of concept / No theft: You may reference another Witness's work (art, writing, video, picture, artistic expression, et cetera) in your own work, but you may not steal or rewrite or retcon or override a previously made and accepted log, nor may you take credit where none is due. Do not add onto another individuals writing or work without permission. If you are simply correcting a spelling— like changing "beutiful" to "beautiful", or "choclate" to "chocolate" — then you may, though DO NOT change anything unless explicitly told to or unless it is an unintentional misspelling.
- Theft of outside property: You may not mention or include outside brands or communities in any log or writing without the consent of both community/brand/person and myself— The Axiom-Monad/TheCicadaTheory
- Bigotry/Prejudice: If your writing or communication with others features any form of bigotry or prejudice (LGBTQIAphobia/genderphobia, sexism, racism, ageism, ableism, xenophobia, classism, et cetera, et cetera) without intent to elevate reading by explaining and demonstrating an in-universe fictional character's beliefs and personality, this will result in punishment.
- Tone/Writing restrictions: While creative freedom does remain active and you may write whatever you desire, you may NOT include anything meant to break immersion for a reader or fellow writers without proper in-universe explanation, this includes jokes and memes and unrelated articles and documents. You may not connect writing to severe real world tragedies in any way— if it is respectful and breif, then it is likely to stay. Please do keep your writing and tone aligned with the general tone and purpose of this project, being horror writing and artistic expression meant for horror and writing.
- Content safety & etiquette: Your writing cannot include any explicit instructions or guides on how to harm/hurt oneself or another individual, kill oneself or another individual, build real and/or dangerous weaponry or devices, instructions on how to commit a crime, encouragment or instructions on the manipulation of individuals.
- Interference with site stability: DO NOT attempt to purposefully break, scam, exploit, or "game" the archive system of the Wikidot™ platform. Do not mass edit, spam, or flood submissions. Do not intentionally create incomprehensible or unreadable logs or messages. Do not attempt to make the server with a virus or by messing with the code of this Wikidot™site nor the platform.
- In/Out of Universe rules: Though storytelling and roleplay is accepted, do not treat fake and in-universe authority as a true authority figure, do not send hateful or bigoted messages through the excuse of being "in-universe", remember that everyone in this project is fake and are only characters— storytelling. The Password is "EyeInTheSky". Keep role-playing and storytelling boundaries clear, and (this is a request that won't give much of a punishment) please do use "{I-U}" for In-Universe communication and use "{O-O-U}" for Out-Of-Universe communication.
- Crediting: If you worked in junction with another Witness, remember to properly credit them. If you are working with another Witness and building off of their concept then please do have mutual agreement and permission, as shared narratives need shared permissions.
- Don't be a jerk/stickler: This is all creative writing, please do respect your fellow writers, readers, and respect the Moderators/Filekeepers. Due to this being artistic expression, there is no definitive version or interpretation of anything unless stated explicitly by the Witness/creator of the writing.
- Regarding Banning: if a creator is banned for any reason, their logs and work will be marked as "For Term"(Termination). If someone does wish, they may rewrite the entry— fix any mistakes and properly follow guidelines. In the case of it being rewritten, please tell a Filekeeper and they will remove the mark after examining the log. If one participant/Secondary Witness is banned though the first and/or other Witness is not, then the unbanned Witness may state that they do not believe or support whatever got the other Witness banned and then rewrite the collaborated entry to properly fit guidelines if needed. If a Reader is banned, then they are simply banned. If a filekeeper or related role is banned then they will be demoted, banned, and replaced.
Filekeeper's Brief:
The Filekeepers are the Moderators of this site. The general Moderators, anyhow. Their job is to make sure everything adheres to the guidelines and to keep this place from devolving to bedlam. They are trusted and respected members of this Wikidot. And when they are hired, they know how to do their job.
Advancement:
To gain basically a promotion, you must apply with this information: your username/preferred name, your time zone, your qualifications, past experience (if any), that you understand and agree with the guidelines, and why you want to become [the new title], and you must answer this question, "how would you handle a disagreement between two individuals, and what would you do to repeat offenders?"
Roles (in order of Authority):
Anon Viewer: As they are faceless, they hold no power.
Reader: A reader, obviously, does have some authority over what happens due to community vote and the power of the people, Vox Populi Vox Dei and all, though nothing administrative or editorial.
Witnesses: The Witnesses have the authority to create their own log, which means they can also propose their own classifications, submit addendum and notes and comment, requests for special classifications for their logs, et cetera.
Fragments: These are Filekeepers in training. They hold the same permissions as a Witness and a Reader, though have the access to request that someone is punished due to "XYZ" and the punishment should be "ABC".
Filekeeper: These are the Moderators who watch over the sites for anything that breaks the guidelines or seems immoral or unjust. They hold the privileges a simple moderator would, such as the ability to edit writing, ban and suspend people, and help admins and such with membership qualification requests and various things like that.
Platonists: These people are the Greenlighters of this Wikidot. They have the same permissions as a Filekeeper, but they are also working behind the scenes with new Witnesses to help format, critique, and get their Log accepted so it can be displayed on this site.
Registrar/Auditors: This team is the Left-Hand on this whole project. The Auditors help design and create the pages themselves, and the Registrars design the format of the text and how the text on the page is formatted and how it looks. The page writers and page creators in one team.
Archons: This is the Right-Hand of the project. The administrators. They hold nearly all permission, second to only one individual. They help manage the site settings, CSS, Filekeepers (if they need it), and help run the site.
The Axiom-Monad: The supreme. The Site-Owner (that's me), whom holds all permissions. Obviously
Noodle: Supreme lord. See Glossary & Templates for further Noodle Knowledge. E per decenza, RISPETTA NOODLE (e tutti gli altri, già che ci siamo)
